Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
Sky breathes the fading light,
Estuary holds the night,
Colours drift where waters meet,
Day slips softly at its feet.
In this piece, I let the world quieten to its simplest breath—just sky, water, and that thin, dark line of life holding the horizon. The colours melt into one another as they do at day’s edge, where nothing is hurried and everything is felt. I work with the softness of watercolour to allow the light to seep and settle, so the reflection becomes as real as the sky itself. It is a moment of stillness, where the land rests, the water listens, and I follow the calm that gently unfolds between them.
