Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
A mother bends in quiet prayer,
A child rests softly in her light.
A guardian spirit lingers there,
Watching through the silent night.
Please Watch Over Him is a deeply emotional abstract composition I painted centred on protection and maternal love. A small baby boy appears on the left, rendered softly within warm yellow light, while the mother’s form curves protectively around him in the centre of the painting. Above and behind the mother, a powerful presence emerges—suggestive of a lion or protective spiritual energy—watching over them both. The flowing washes of colour and gentle organic shapes create a sense of tenderness and guardianship, expressing a quiet prayer that the child will always be protected and guided through life.
