Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
A conceptual arch, a doorway of light,
A rose blooms pale in blue and white.
Between two worlds the spirit goes,
Soft as the farewell of a rose.
In Transition I painted an archway that suggests a quiet passage between worlds, with a delicate white and blue rose appearing at its centre. Created just before the passing of a close family member, the painting reflects a deeply personal moment—where the doorway or archway becomes a symbol of moving from life into another state, and the rose carries a sense of peace, memory, and gentle farewell.
