Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
Three lakes shimmer in the land,
Colours shaped by sky and sand.
Turn the world and you may see,
A smiling face in mystery.
In Three Lakes I explored the landscape of Western Australia through three luminous bodies of water set within an abstract terrain of colour and movement, looking like jewels sparkling from the sky. The lakes appear as glowing forms within the landscape, surrounded by flowing textures that suggest earth, sky, and shifting light across the land. When the canvas is turned ninety degrees to the right, the composition reveals a hidden image of a smiling face, introducing a playful element within the landscape. The painting reflects both the natural beauty of the lakes and the joyful spirit that can be found when we look at the world from a different perspective.
