Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
A quiet face beneath the sky,
A guardian’s watchful presence high.
Dog and bird stand close nearby,
And the silent eye sees all pass by.
In The Watched I painted a portrait of a woman surrounded by symbolic presences that observe and protect her. Around her appear a guardian figure above, a loyal dog to the left, a bird above, and a single eye below, all suggesting awareness and unseen protection. Through layered colours and textures, the painting reflects the feeling that we are never truly alone, always watched over by both visible and invisible companions.
