Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
A red force rises, fierce and clear,
With wings of sight and hooves of fire,
It leads where doubt once lingered near,
And shapes the path of bold desire.
In Taking Charge, I allowed instinct and force to lead, and from that energy emerged the red horse on the right—fused with the sharp awareness of a bird’s head, a creature of both grounded power and elevated vision. For me, this is an archetype of leadership and awakening—the moment we step forward, guided not just by strength but by clarity and instinct. The sweeping strokes and collisions of colour reflect that surge of decision, of movement without hesitation, where chaos begins to organise around purpose. This painting speaks to the inner shift—from doubt to direction—where we claim our space, trust our vision, and take charge of our own path.
