Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
Run rabbit run
The moon is rising
Like a wave of terror
Time to go home.
In Red Rabbit and the Moon I explored the quiet mystery of night, allowing bold strokes of red to form the presence of a rabbit emerging from deep shadow. Against the glowing sweep of moonlight and layered darkness, the rabbit appears as an archetypal guide—watchful, instinctive, sometimes fearful of life but connected to the hidden rhythms of the natural world.
