Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
A face that holds what words conceal,
One keeps, one shows what both can feel,
A purse of stories, worn and true,
What we hide—and what we give to view.
In Peachy Purse, I explore identity through what we carry, with a central face anchoring two contrasting figures—one holding a purse close, the other presenting it outward. The purse becomes a symbol of personal value and hidden stories, reflecting the tension between what we keep within and what we choose to reveal.
