Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
From ocean blue a face appears,
Drifting through the painted air.
Pink light and love around the form,
As yellow dawn awakens there.
In Ocean Spirit I painted colour and movement to guide the image, letting the blues of ocean and sky blend into soft pinks and violets. From within the blur of paint, a male face slowly emerges, almost as if it is rising out of the water or drifting through the sky. The touches of yellow light around the figure suggest a moment of awakening, where the face appears between worlds of water, air, and imagination. The pink gives a sense of emerging love in that awakening.
