Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
My place, watching TV
The fish swim in the pond
The pesky cat after the fish
One sense of place
One sense of living.
My place, watching TV
The kids running around the room
The kids after the cat, that’s after the fish
One sense of place
One sense of living.
In My Place I painted the lively feeling of looking down from above into a home filled with movement and life. From this bird’s-eye view, the family room appears in the upper left where people gather watching television, while bright shapes and energetic colours suggest children and pets running through the space, capturing the warmth, chaos, and joyful rhythm of everyday family life.
