Arms wrapped close, holding tight.
In quiet strokes their hearts agree,
Love is the shape to be.
I painted layers of vibrant colour and expressive brushstrokes to form the gentle outlines of a young girl wrapped in an embrace with her mother or father, their shapes blending into one another with warmth and intimacy. The abstract forms emphasise the feeling rather than the detail, capturing the comfort, protection, and deep emotional bond at the heart of family.
