Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
Light spills over hills,
Colour rises, breath held still,
Earth waits, softly glowing,
As day awakens the land growing.
In Light over the Hills, I’m painting that moment when the sky feels alive with colour and the land responds in quiet reverence. The yellows and warm pinks push through the canvas like light insisting on being seen, while the blues and deeper tones anchor the hills, giving them weight and presence. For me, it’s about that emotional lift you feel when the light breaks through, touching everything at once and reminding you that even the stillness of the hills is full of energy and change.
