In Jai Ho, I explore a vibrant celebration of culture, history, and transformation, where a figure reminiscent of Queen Victoria dissolves into a more fluid, shared human story, alongside the sacred cow symbolising continuity, reverence, and life beyond time. The bold, energetic colours express unity, movement, and emotional intensity, capturing a moment of collective spirit. Jai Ho, meaning “let there be victory” or “may there be triumph,” reflects the painting’s deeper message—an uplifting celebration of resilience, joy, and the triumph of Mother Earth and connection across cultures.
