Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
Soft voices gather round,
Colours hum without a sound,
In their light I come to be—
Held in quiet company.
In ‘In Good Company’, I let the figures emerge gently from the movement—never fixed, always becoming—so that connection feels fluid rather than defined. The central presence is held within a circle of others, faces and forms weaving in and out like shared moments, laughter, quiet understanding. For me, this painting is about that subtle comfort of being surrounded by people who see you—where energy is shared, light is passed between us, and simply being together is enough.
