Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
An ancient man guards the turning sky,
A monk awaits close by.
Strange watchers rise beyond the town,
Silent guardians looking down.
The Mother Earth, the Guardian of growth
Watches our mistakes we know
Watching our moves over time
Guards our lands in kind.
In Guardian I layered bold colours and shifting forms that reveal hidden figures when the painting is turned slightly to the left. A central guardian with an orange face emerges strongly, while another figure with a pink face appears seated nearby, and in the background a presence rises among shapes that hint at distant buildings—suggesting unseen protectors watching over the worlds we inhabit.
