Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
Embrace me
Feel my love
Feel my warmth Feel my hug.
Embrace me
Feel my pain
Feel the rain
Don’t feel in vain
Embrace me
Feel my happiness
Feel my joy
Feel, just feel.
In Embrace I painted sweeping colours and expressive brushstrokes to reveal two figures at the centre holding one another, surrounded by movement and emotional energy. In the lower right corner, a large face appears on an angle, carrying a quiet sadness, while the embrace in the middle reflects the idea of accepting and holding that sadness with compassion rather than turning away from it.
