Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
The carnivale marches
The circus has started
Ball eating clowns
Animals that bow.
All is not as it seems
Look beneath the dreams
Take off the mask
You need only ask.
In Carnivale I painted the lively energy of a carnival bursting with colour, movement, and play. Within the sweeping reds, yellows, blues, and greens, figures begin to appear—acrobats twisting through the air, animals weaving through the crowd, and people moving among the excitement of the fair. Hidden among the shapes is a playful sideshow moment, the game where a ball is tossed into the clown’s open mouth. The painting captures the joyful chaos of the carnival, where laughter, spectacle, and imagination swirl together in a vibrant celebration of life.
