Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
Colours circle in a warm embrace,
Lines fold softly into place.
In painted arms the heart feels home,
A quiet hug within the foam.
I painted a whirl of vibrant colours and fluid lines forming the suggestion of a figure or animal wrapped in a powerful embrace, the shapes circling and folding into one another like protective arms. The energetic marks and layered hues evoke the warmth, comfort, and emotional intensity of a “bear hug,” where movement and colour convey the feeling of being held closely and safely.
