Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
A quiet strength among the leaves,
A flash of gold the stillness weaves,
The watcher waits, the small ones play,
Life whispers softly through the day.
In The Bear and the Bird, I was exploring that quiet moment of watching—of being present in nature without needing to control it. The bear sits in the upper space, strong but still, drawn into the movement below where the bird and other small creatures live and flicker through the garden. The colours move between softness and energy because that’s how nature feels to me—alive, layered, constantly shifting. The yellow bird carries a lightness, almost a spark, while the bear holds a grounded, patient presence. It’s that balance I was drawn to—the power of simply observing, where curiosity replaces instinct, and connection happens in silence.
