Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
A quiet light begins to rise,
Soft wings unfold from deep within,
Others gather in its glow,
Remembering where they begin.
In The Light Within, I painted a quiet emergence—this central figure unfolding from within itself, radiating soft, wing-like light that feels both protective and expansive. The light isn’t something external; it’s rising from inside, stretching outward in gentle, luminous arcs that blur into the surrounding space. Around it, other figures linger—subtle, watchful presences—each touched by that glow, as if reminded of something they already carry. The palette is hushed yet alive, with cool blues and greens holding the space while the light warms and lifts it. For me, this work is about recognising that what we search for outside is already within us—waiting, steady, and ready to rise.
