Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
Steps drift through colour and light,
The world moves with every stride,
No place to reach, just air and day,
And the path unfolds inside.
In It’s a Nice Day for a Walk, I painted movement as feeling rather than form—a central figure emerging through sweeping blues and bursts of yellow light, stepping forward with quiet purpose. The brushstrokes carry the rhythm of walking, loose and flowing, as if the air itself is moving with them. Around the figure, the world feels alive—lush, shifting, full of colour and possibility. For me, it’s about those simple, expansive moments when the world opens up and you realise that just moving through it.
