Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
Blue wings break through the noise,
A self unravels, then lifts,
Colour falls from old beliefs,
And something freer begins.
I painted the Blue Birdman as a presence emerging through the chaos of colour—his blue form holding steady at the centre while everything else moves and resists around him. For me, he is that moment of transformation, when we begin to loosen the grip of old beliefs and lift ourselves into something freer, lighter, more expansive.
