Tracey-Ann begins her work with an abstract expressive style and then sub-consciously connecting with figures, animals, scenery and concepts to develop the message about our connection with life and our place in it.
Donkey, cat, pig and human entwine,
In quiet circles, soft, divine,
A Buddha’s breath among them stays,
All share the same still, gentle gaze.
In Buddha’s Animals, I allowed the forms to emerge gently, as if remembered rather than drawn—donkey, cat, pig, dog, and a quiet Buddhist presence all woven into the same breath of colour. They are not separate beings here, but companions in a shared stillness, circling one another in a space that feels both grounded and spiritual. The brushstrokes move between chaos and calm, echoing the mind itself, until a soft harmony settles—suggesting that in simplicity, in connection with animals and each other, there is a quiet path back to peace.
